Alright, alright. Just saying, you do have a couple options.
But. I can see why you'd be tired of running.

Yeah...
...well, if you ever change your mind, you should run to my place... it's more isolated and defensible than most.
...though I realize you won't, if not because of not wanting to run again, then because you don't want to run somewhere and have it be a trap.
...which it isn't, but my word doesn't exactly calm your fears, now does it?

Grepher is human, so he can't see as well during the night...?

...ah. You'd think it'd be more dangerous, since there aren't as many people, and you're generally more exposed.
I guess that's just me.
...still, kind of awful you have to do things at night like that.

Maybe. And I guess it makes it easier for you to go unfound, since Grepher could blend into the crowd and follow you back, then wait.

Xenophobic on one end, but a lot of your population's outsiders and outlayers are very pro Spirit.

...yeah, that sounds about right. Japan has always been somewhat xenophobic with other humans, so it's no surprise they're the same way with spirits.
On the other hand, they have a strange acceptance of the odd and unusual within their own, which likely leads to the behavior we see.

Though the outsiders and outlayers seem to have an odd fixation on the younger child looking spirits...

...Japan is kind of. Special.
That said, I'm not sure if anyplace else would really be better. I think every country has it's concerns with spirits, they'd just react somewhat differently.
